A few reminders about the upcoming Veteran's Day holiday:
First, all 5 district schools will be hosting Veteran's Day Programs, and those details can be found on the Pocahontas County Schools website. We would be honored for you to join us at those events.
Additionally, on Monday, November 11th, all schools will be closed to observe the national Veteran's Day holiday.
Lastly, the Pocahontas County School District wishes to extend our sincerest gratitude to our Veterans for their service.

Parents, just a reminder the Science Fair Project time is upon us. All students have been working for the past week or two to choose a topic and begin the process. 7th and 8th grade project booklets and data are due on Monday, November 11 and 6th grade project booklets and data are due Friday, November 15. Presentations will be created in class. Students will be working on digital presentations and only those chosen to go to the competition will create a board. It is very important that students conduct experiments and record their data prior to the due date, without this information they cannot create their presentations and will not get full credit for the assignment. Please check with your student(s) to ensure that they are on track to complete this on time.

On Thursday we will not be having activities, however students can wear Halloween themed clothing (not costumes) without face coverings or weapons or wear orange and black. On Friday we will have activities in the afternoon. There will be a costume contest for scary, funny, cute and original and all costumes must be school appropriate without face coverings or weapons.
