📚 Professional Learning Day Spotlight!

Today, our staff participated in the I Love U Guys® School Safety training, led by the West Virginia Department of Homeland Security at Pocahontas County High School. This important session helped ensure that all of us are prepared, informed, and unified in our commitment to keeping students safe.

After the countywide training, teams returned to their individual schools to review and strengthen their own safety plans—working together to support a safe, secure learning environment for every student.

We’re grateful for our dedicated staff and partners who help make safety a top priority every day. ❤️🏫💛

Shoutout to First Citizens Bank for providing donuts for our staff to start the day off right! 😍

🚌 Happy Love the Bus Month, Pocahontas County! 💛

February is nationally recognized as Love the Bus Month, a time to celebrate the yellow school bus and the incredible transportation professionals who keep our students safe every day. Here in Pocahontas County Schools, our drivers and transportation staff go above and beyond—navigating mountain roads, greeting students with a smile, and ensuring every child arrives ready to learn.

This month, we honor their commitment, care, and responsibility. Safe, reliable transportation is essential to student access, learning, and success, and we are grateful for the dedicated team behind every route.
