Looking forward to our Monday, staff appreciation day at MMS! Big thanks to PMH for our goody bags and dirty soda bar organized by MMS staff fellowship committee!

Please see attachment for opportunity on Monday, May 4 at PCHS.

Reminder that 8th graders will leave MMS tomorrow at 7:00 am. They will be going to see a Shakespeare play in Staunton. The return time is around 4:30 pm but an all call will be sent with updates. There will be some breakfast options at MMS before leaving, but if you'd prefer, please eat at home. Lunch was a school packed option or home packed meal. Thank you!
Congratulations to our MMS April Science Stars! Big thank to Godfathers for sponsoring our snack for our stars!

Congratulations!
We are proud to recognize an MMS student who has been selected to participate in the United States Naval Academy Summer STEM Program!
This exciting opportunity allows students to dive into hands‑on learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, working collaboratively on real‑world challenges and innovative projects.
Being selected for this competitive program is a tremendous achievement and a testament to the student’s dedication, curiosity, and passion for STEM learning. Way to represent MMS! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see all the amazing things ahead.

The MMS bands have been invited to perform at Marlinton’s “May Celebration of Youth Arts” this Friday, May 1st, on the Discovery Junction stage. Letters went home last week with details for band students who wish to perform. The concert is from 5:00-7:00 PM and is free and open to the public. It will also feature musical performances from MES students and PCHS’s band. We hope to see you there!
CTE has been busy with Ms. Kirk! Some cool mascots they've made to go with the CTE clusters!

Big thanks to our April Staff Pick Me Up provided by Weston and his family!

Just got an update from Ms. Hill, they will be here closer to 5 PM due to roadwork.
The buses have left Charleston and they plan to stop for a short break for snack. Their ETA is 4:30 and if things change, we will send another call. They will not be back to catch buses so they will need to be picked up by families.
Marlinton Middle School is a Purple Star School. It is an honor given to schools that show a strong commitment to supporting military-connected students and families.
