The Marlinton Elementary and Marlinton Middle School Christmas Program has been rescheduled. The new date is Tuesday, December 16th at Marlinton Middle School.
The program will begin at 5:30 PM with the elementary performance, followed by the middle school performance. Elementary students should arrive by 5:00 PM to get lined up. Middle school students should arrive by 5:30 PM to support the elementary students.

Hello copperheads! All students should be coming home today with a snow day packet. These were handed out to all students and put in an envelope. If your child was not in school today and would happen to need this before returning to school, the document has been uploaded to our school website. If you have any trouble, please reach out to principal and/or teachers for assistance. These will only be used for snow days six through 10. Stay safe and warm and we hope to see everyone tomorrow!
Pocahontas County Schools will be dismissing two hours early today due to the forecasted weather.
Marlinton Middle School pickup will begin at 1:28 PM along with first bus departure, and second round of buses will depart at 1:45 PM.

Due to potentially hazardous weather conditions, Pocahontas County Schools will dismiss two hours early on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. All after-school activities and events are canceled. Individual schools will contact parents with updated dates and times for rescheduled events. Buses will depart from the high school at 1:21 p.m. Thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate winter weather conditions.

We are excited to announce that Marlinton Elementary and Marlinton Middle School will be combining for one Christmas Program tomorrow evening. The elementary performance will begin at 5:30 PM, and students should arrive at 5:00 PM. The middle school performance will follow immediately after. If school is canceled or after-school activities are suspended due to weather, we will look for an alternative date and share updates as soon as possible. We look forward to a wonderful evening celebrating our students.
