All 6th grade students were given their LiveGrades information last week. Please log in and check grades. This is a great communication tool and one staff use often. This method of communication and tracking of grades is very important as we do not have an interventionist or after school tutoring. Thank you so much!

Governor Jim Justice proclaimed that today, September 22, is School Service Personnel Day. We know that every day is a day to celebrate our dedicated service personnel of Pocahontas County Schools. We are blessed to have our service personnel who provide extra care to students making sure that they arrive safely to school and home, have hot meals to nourish their bodies, provide additional academic support, have a clean and welcoming school environment, and are greeted with a smile. Thank you for all that you do and for being part of the Pocahontas County Schools Team!

Just a reminder to parents and families - if you are dropping your child off to school in the morning or picking them up in the afternoon, you must drop or pick in the lower lot or wait until buses have run. You cannot drive by or pass buses while they are in upper lot.

Hello Copperheads! We had a great full week of school. Students and staff are getting into a routine and learning is happening. Please stay in touch with us regarding illnesses, assignments and upcoming events. Remember that our website has been updated and can be accessed as well as our Facebook page. First, all 6th and 8th graders going on the Adventure Pocahontas trip, remember to bring all of your belongings on Monday including clothing and hygiene items, weather related equipment such as rain gear, daily essentials and necessary bedding. As stated in your instructions, there should be no electronics or valuables on this trip. If you require daily medication, please bring it on Monday so that we can be prepared for the early bus ride on Tuesday. Students will return on Friday. I will be accompanying them on Tuesday evening through Thursday afternoon. Ms. Jordan, principal from Greenbank will be there Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon. If you haven't already, please return all beginning of the year paperwork. Finally, devices will be dispersed this coming week for 7th grade and the following week for 6th and 8th grade. If you haven't signed for the device, please come to MMS when able. Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!

All students for PE: Clean tennis shoes, T-shirt and athletic shorts/pants. Clear water bottle that can be used to refill throughout the day.
