Reminder that we have a LSIC meeting on Tuesday, January 28 at MMS with the local BOE at 3:30.

The PBIS trip has been postponed due to weather and not being able to communicate with Greenbrier County businesses today due to no power. A rescheduled date will be announced at a later date. Thank you!

All Pocahontas County Schools will operate on a three-hour delay on Thursday, January 23, 2025. We are excited to see our students and staff! Dress warm and stay safe.

Thank you for supporting MMS and the students!

Due to the frigid temperatures, Pocahontas County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 21.
This will be our first "Outside the School Environment Day" (OS), meaning we will make up the day on May 30. Since we are making up the day, there will be no snow packets for students or meetings for staff on January 21.
Stay warm and safe in this weather!

On Monday, January 20th, all Pocahontas County Schools will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
As we approach MLK Day, let's remember Dr. King's powerful message of unity and the importance of coming together as a community. Whether through acts of kindness, learning about others, or simply sharing his words, we can all contribute to making our world a better place.
"Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'" - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Let's honor his legacy by spreading positivity and making a difference in our own unique ways. 💙

Pocahontas County Schools will operate on a three-hour delay on Friday, January 17, due to the weather conditions we are experiencing tonight.

Due to the weather predictions the PBIS reward swim trip has been rescheduled to January 24.
Please complete your 5th snow packet assignment and turn it in the next day we are in school. Staff appreciate the completion rate of snow packets and look forward to seeing your final project!
Have a great day - stay safe and enjoy the snow and outdoors!

Due to the current Winter Weather Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service, all schools in Pocahontas County will be closed. Students will complete their fifth snow packet assignments.
This decision to close schools on Thursday, January 16, is based on predictions of cold temperatures in the morning and snow arriving in our area during school hours with the heaviest snowfall predicted during our evening commute home.
