Due to the National Weather Service predictions for snow and hazardous road conditions and reports from around the county this morning, all Pocahontas County Schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
We will now have school on April 16.


Book fair will be open at MMS Tuesday and Wednesday. Please bring money if you'd like to get anything.
8th grade night for girls basketball and cheerleading will be Tuesday at MMS.
Please come support our teams.
We will have spirit week next week for the County Tournament on the 20th.
18th Twin day or student/ teacher swap day
19th rodeo, cartoon/disney character day
20th orange and black day Copperhead team spirit

MMS students finally got to enjoy their second nine week PBIS reward trip.
We had a great day swimming at the Greenbrier Aquatic Center and having pizza from Little Caesars. Big thanks to Ms. Hill for planning and organizing this trip!



This is a reminder that students of Pocahontas County Schools will not attend school on Monday, February 17. This is a scheduled faculty senate and professional meeting day.


Copperheads are heading to State to represent Pocahontas County and it’s commitment to educating the next generation scientists! Congratulations to the 1st place winners Ava Fields and Eva Tanner, Ailec Lindbloom and Lane Wilfong! Amazing Job Guys!!!



Reminder that we will have our second nine weeks PBIS reward trip to the aquatic center. If we have a delay or closed, it will be rescheduled. Please bring bathing suit, dry clothes, towel and a bag to bring wet clothes back in.

Good morning. We are going to go ahead and move forward with the school social studies fair at MMS. If you signed up to present and still plan to do so, please bring everything you need this morning. If you have changed your mind, please let us know when you arrive at school. We will also try and get all make up benchmarking completed today. Thank you and look forward to seeing you all soon!

Due to the ice storm warning, Pocahontas County Schools will operate on a three-hour delay on Thursday, February 13, 2025.


We hope everyone stayed safe today in the snow. The current conditions and forecast will have Pocahontas County Schools closed on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. This closure will result in attending school on Tuesday, April 15 during Spring Break.


Due to the National Weather Service predictions and Winter Storm Warning, all Pocahontas County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
We will now attend school on Monday, April 14 during Spring Break.

The decision has been made to close all Pocahontas County Schools on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 due to today's pending weather, and the ice storm warning from the National Weather Service . This decision was made to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Our last day of school will now be June 3.
