For example, students who met the "Standard of Excellence" for 2025-2026 will be recognized in the fall of 2026-2027 school year. General Requirements Students in grades 3-8 (3rd grade students will be recognized at the beginning of 4th grade) Student in grades 3-8 must attain an "Exceeds Standards" on the West Virginia General Summative Assessment in one or all of the categories listed below.
